Ultra high temperature triaxial accelerometer
DYTRAN INSTRUMENTS has introduced model 3683C, a charge mode, triaxial, case isolated accelerometer that operates at up +538°Cand can survive temperature excursions up to +593°C. Model 3683C is ideal for vibration monitoring of components in ultra-high temperature environments. Typical uses include gas turbine testing, power plant commissioning, exhaust manifold testing, turbocharger testing, and brake rotor testing. Characterised by its small size and weighing only 65 grams, the product does not mass load test structures and can be used in situations where vertical space is limited. It features a unique ground isolated triaxial design that eliminates the need for using three separate single-axis accelerometers typically mounted on a bulky triaxial mounting block. This model features hermetically sealed housing and Dytran's patented Silver Window technology for reliable operation at extremely high temperatures. This Silver Window on top of the accelerometer housing allows diffused oxygen molecules to pass through at high temperatures, replenishing oxygen to the piezoelectric crystals while maintaining the integrity of the hermetic seal. The innovative feature assures continued high temperature operation with minimal loss of piezoelectric crystal insulation resistance due to oxygen deprivation. Available with a sensitivity of 1 - 2 pc/g, model 3683C features a centre thru-hole design for 360° cable orientation. It can be easily installed using a 10-32 mounting screw and has two lock-wire holes for securing the sensor to the structure. Dytran offers straight-line or 90° 10-32 hardline cables to mate with three top connectors as well as charge amplifiers that support your application configurations.
