Site Si Safe of­fers train­ing pr providers dis­counted he health and safety cour­ses fo for ap­pren­tices as part of the na­tion­wide Skills We Week ini­tia­tive.

Skills Week, a one-week wo work readi­ness course de de­vel­oped by the Skills Or Or­gan­i­sa­tion, is the first block course of a spe­cial­ist trades ap­pren­tice­ship and in­cludes train­ing on em­ploy­ment skills, first aid, ba­sic trade cal­cu­la­tions and health and safety.

Site Safe Chief Ex­ec­u­tive Ali­son Mol­loy said un­der­stand­ing the ben­e­fits of health and safety was es­sen­tial for any ap­pren­tice.

“Com­plet­ing the Site Safe Foun­da­tion Pass­port – Build­ing Con­struc­tion in the first block course of their ap­pren­tice­ship helps these plumb­ing, gas fit­ting, drain lay­ing, elec­tri­cal, roof­ing and scaf­fold­ing ap­pren­tices to learn the skills they need to stay safe on site at the very ear­li­est op­por­tu­nity.”

This train­ing will be of­fered through­out 2018 in part­ner­ship with 16 train­ing or­gan­i­sa­tions in­clud­ing WelTec, UCOL and Ara In­sti­tute of Can­ter­bury.
