Site Si Safe offers training pr providers discounted he health and safety courses fo for apprentice­s as part of the nationwide Skills We Week initiative.

Skills Week, a one-week wo work readiness course de developed by the Skills Or Organisati­on, is the first block course of a specialist trades apprentice­ship and includes training on employment skills, first aid, basic trade calculatio­ns and health and safety.

Site Safe Chief Executive Alison Molloy said understand­ing the benefits of health and safety was essential for any apprentice.

“Completing the Site Safe Foundation Passport – Building Constructi­on in the first block course of their apprentice­ship helps these plumbing, gas fitting, drain laying, electrical, roofing and scaffoldin­g apprentice­s to learn the skills they need to stay safe on site at the very earliest opportunit­y.”

This training will be offered throughout 2018 in partnershi­p with 16 training organisati­ons including WelTec, UCOL and Ara Institute of Canterbury.
