c’est CHEESE

Maison Vauron, your go-to purveyor of gourmet French wine and produce, is proud to bring you Soignon, France’s number one goat’s cheese

-

Creamy, melt-in-your-mouth goat’s cheese, generously slathered on fresh bread or crackers, is one of life’s delicious little pleasures. And if you’re going to enjoy a wedge of goat’s cheese goodness, why not seek out the crème de la crème?

At Maison Vauron and our sister company La Fromagerie, our selection of products is carefully curated with the lover of fine food in mind. Which is why we’re proud to bring you Soignon [pronounced swah-nion], which ranks as France’s number one maker of goat’s cheese. With 120 years in the business, Soignon is a brand steeped in tradition. Sourcing its goat’s milk from a co-operative of 625 farmers, Soignon knows every step of the product’s journey, from farm to consumer. And there’s a Soignon goat’s cheese to suit all tastes.

SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE

The Ripened Log has that distinctive goat’s cheese flavour and comes in several classic varieties, reduced fat, creamy or miniature versions. And these cheeses all have a low lactose content. If you want a more kid-friendly option, the Fresh Log has a lighter flavour that is perfect for goat’s cheese novices. The fresh cheese also contains a lot more water than the ripened variety, and therefore less fat, less salt and fewer calories.

The whole family is also sure to love Soignon’s fromage blanc, with the sweet and very delicate flavour of goat’s milk. Natural or flavoured with vanilla and fruit, these desserts are a great alternative if your little ones have an allergy to cow’s milk. What’s more, containing 15 per cent of the recommended daily intake, they are a fantastic source of calcium, important for bone health.

GOOD FOR YOU

And the really delicious news about goat’s cheese? It’s good for you! A source of protein and calcium, goat’s milk also contains minerals and trace elements phosphorus, potassium, zinc, selenium and magnesium. The Soignon range is available in logs, pyramids and spreadables. So whether you bake with it, snack on it, or share it on a platter with a bottle of fine wine, we think you’ll agree Soignon is a winner. Bon appétit! mvauron.co.nz
