We’d like to express appreciation to Bramha Naidoo and his staff of LJ’s Seafood Restaurant, in Ti Rakau Drive, Botany, for the setup, wonderful service and discounted meals enjoyed by our members.
The presentation of the food was as mouth-watering as the food. The service was fabulous too. All the staff members were friendly, attentive, smiling and made us feel welcomed and comfortable.
Senior citizens are important members of our community. They are our parents and our grandparents, people who have contributed to the history of our community and our families in so many ways. One of the recent vehicle crashes in Mellons Bay Road.
Seniors have a thing or two to teach about enduring change and handling life’s adversity. Even if a senior’s hearing or memory isn’t what it was in the past, our elders have great wisdom to impart.
Eastern Suburbs Senior Citizens Club
number of questions missing, as the questions asked are designed to provide the answers the council wants. Some of the missing questions are:
Do you want less (especially highly paid) council employees with huge redundancy payments? The council has more staff than the combined councils that were amalgamated to form the Auckland Council.
Do you want your rates to pay for council employees to go into the entertainment business? Movies in Parks, V8 car racing, Pride parades, Music in Parks etc.
Do you want unelected people who you can’t vote out making decisions for you? We have some costing us millions of dollars and they are flexing their muscles.
There are many more cases that I have not listed that involve the use of ratepayers money for purposes other than core services.
Councils are elected to provide water, roads, rubbish collections and other core services, not get into education, entertainment and child welfare etc etc.
