Travel blogger and Instagram star Carmen Huter, 24, shares why a cup of tea is an essential part of her #selfcare routine, no matter where in the world she’s travelling

Igrew up in a town of 10,000 people that I thought was a big city – turns out it really wasn’t! I was never into travel, I was always going to get into business, and people had also told me that creativity isn’t for everyone.

I came to New Zealand to study English but the school that I was at went into receivership after two months, causing me to lose my visa. I started travelling and fell in love with the country, and also the idea of travelling. I finished my degree in Christchurch, went back to Austria, packed up my things and bought a one-way ticket to New Zealand. That’s where it all began – that was five and a half years ago. I told myself if I don’t do it now, I’ll never do it.

As a travel blogger, every day is diˆerent. I live in Auckland but I’m on the road a lot. I’m either overseas for several months at a time or if I’m in

New Zealand, I am never sure when the next trip will pop up.
