YES IS MORE
Understated chic as a touchpoint of Armani’s fashion and beauty ranges is something lovers of fragrances like Sì, Acqua Di Gioia and Code will already be familiar with — the brand’s hit perfumes have long been top sellers on department-store fragrance counters. The punchy lacquer red of Sì Passione, the season’s newcomer, however, is the first flag that the volume has been turned up on this offshoot of 2013’s original Sì. Master perfumer Julie Massé calls on top notes of spicy pink pepper with blackcurrant, a floral heart of rose, powdery heliotrope and jasmine absolute, rounded out in a base of warm vanilla and woods to represent a more assertive, modern femininity and passion. Elements of the original — with signature juicy fruit in the centre — are there, but she’s wearing a more flashy ‘dancing emoji’ dress instead of her usual go-to cream shift.
