THE DEEP END

Fall in love with Ti any & Co.’s sophisticated new scent.

With the arrival of Tiffany & Co.’s Eau De Parfum fragrance in 2018, the jewellery house distilled the essence of its chic, timeless treasures into scent, creating a sparkling, fresh and bright fragrance housed in a diamond-inspired flacon.

Now, extending the collection, is striking new arrival Tiffany & Co. Eau De Parfum Intense, a deeper and richer interpretation of the original iris- and mandarin-spiked fragrance, visually set apart from its predecessor with a deeper tint of iconic Tiffany Blue®. Here, renowned perfumer Daniela Andrier talks us through the creation of the luxurious new release:

What inspired the new EDP Intense?

Intensity, sensuality, and powerful and rich ingredients, by starting from the original theme then taking it further.

How would you describe it?

It’s an impenetrable, mysterious fragrance, very addictive, but you can never really own its structure because you keep smelling different facets that all convey a perception of intensity.

What differentiates the EDP Intense from the signature fragrance?

The EDP Intense contains even more iris, with the addition of musky notes, amber and benzoin.

What was your process for selecting those three key notes?

Iris was the common thread with the EDP, while amber and benzoin are ambassadors of deep, intense ingredients.

Iris is once again the hero ingredient in the fragrance. Can you describe how the profusion of iris plays into the full composition?

It provides the beautiful and intense volume of the fragrance – powerful yet subtle.

Do you think that the signature scent and now the new EDP Intense should be worn for different occasions?

I think both are very complementary and fit into different moods, intimate moods that don’t depend on daylight or night-time. Rather, it’s more like choosing between a pair of pants or a dress. Play with your own desire.

In your opinion, why does this fragrance make the ultimate gift for every occasion?

Well, it’s from Tiffany…
