Enjoy a blast from the past at Centrepoint Theatre until December 11, with Cringe Worthy 80s! The show is a hilarious, stellar, righteous nostalgia trip; a musical slice of kiwiana taking you back to New Zealand in the 1980s.

Brought to you by the creators of New Zealand’s favourite girl group, The Beatgirls, the show stars its very own Andrea Sanders alongside the fabulous Caitlin Penrose, Devon Neiman and Matt Mulholland.

It’s a feast of contagious Kiwi songs, served with a side of spandex and a huge dollop of cheesy comedy.

Following Centrepoint’s successful 2020 season of Cringe Worthy!, which was set in the 70s, Cringe Worthy 80s! is a brand-new experience, premiering for the very first time in Palmerston North.

And it’s more than just the music, says Sanders. Cringe Worthy 80s! explores just ‘‘how much times have changed since the 80s. The fashion, the fads and everything in between’’.

Centrepoint’s general manager/ artistic director Kate Louise Elliott said audiences can expect a wonderful evening of entertainment.

‘‘Look no further than Cringe Worthy 80s! for a hilariously fun way to see out the year.

‘‘This show is perfect for staff functions or Christmas parties. But with currently limited audience numbers, you’ll need to get in quickly!’’
