Tips

Is there anything better than enjoying a good old fashioned Kiwi BBQ with friends and family? While we still love a great sausage on a bit of bread, the humble barbecue is now so much more than just slapping a piece of meat on a grill plate. Interesting, fresh and zesty salads are now a must, and we're increasingly having a lot more fun with marinades, accompaniments and dressings.

Of course, the number one rule of barbecue cooking is that it has to be simple, simple, simple – but at the same time, it can be a little tricky to think of new ways with kebabs and lamb chops! Thankfully, we've created a perfect menu of easy, alfresco-friendly dishes – complete with a little twist – which are perfect to take to the next family gathering or friend's party.

Our best tip for a stress-free gathering is to embrace the very Kiwi tradition of bringing a plate! Sharing the load saves time and divides the responsibility of feeding the crowd. So, assign your mates a dish, make sure you've got enough ice on hand and crank up the tunes. Happy grilling everyone!
