Probus Club’s 30th anniversary
Pukekohe Probus Club celebrated its 30th anniversary recently, held at the Pukekohe Cossie Club.
The event saw 86 members and guests attend the celebrations, including MP for Hunua Andrew Bayly, deputy chairperson of the Franklin Board, Andy Baker, and president of the Auckland Probus Association, Annette Grey.
The highlight of the meeting was members Ken Bliss and Jack Sheppard receiving their honoured memberships, for their support to the club, and secretary Paul Burt being awarded a life membership.
The club was one of the first Probus clubs in Franklin, and was formed by the Pukekohe Rotary Club in 1987.
Probus clubs cater for retired active people, concentrating on fun, friendship and fellowship.
