In March 2008, a group of community-minded locals came together to establish a unique charity which, 10 years down the track, has touched hundreds in Franklin.

The district is blessed to have such a wonderful and locally focused charity in the Franklin Silver Lining Trust, which delivers silver linings to those in our towns doing it tough in times of adversity.

This newspaper is a proud backer of the trust, and it’s a privilege to have been involved telling its stories and offering support through our news pages from its inception all those years ago.
