Well I hope you all managed to enjoy a nice, albeit cold, long weekend.

Mine was spent holding a fourth birthday party for my twin boys.

So not really a relaxing one! But they enjoyed themselves.

I’d like to take this time to congratulate all those in our wider community who received Queen’s Birthday honours.

It was such a pleasure reading through the list of recipients and seeing so many from our community.

Sometimes I think we get so caught up in our own lives we forget how many people out there are doing such many amazing things for thier community.

So it’s great to see those people get the recognition they deserve.
