Kia ora,

I’m the first to admit I’m a bit of a softy when it comes to animals.

Our two fur babies, very spoilt pussycats Charlie and Max, live like kings in the Kaio household, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

They are great companions and perfect to cuddle and snuggle on these cold winter nights.

As Briar reports in her special feature today on Franklin Cat Rescue, Melanie Marshall hopes all kittens and cats can find loving homes like Charlie and Max.

Her dedication and devotion to her feline friends is amazing, and her hubby must also be praised - despite allergies, he too gives up so much to ensure cats no one wants get a second chance at life.

Please take the time to read Briar’s story, and if you are keen to help or even adopt your own fur baby, check out the Franklin Cat Rescue Facebook page. Julie Kaio News Director OFFICE: 09 237 0400.
