Let there be light

Good Health Choices - - Be Informed -

Letting plenty of sunshine into our homes isn’t just good for our state of mind – not to mention our home design – it actually keeps you healthy. Researchers at the University of Oregon exposed dusty, dollhouse-sized rooms to either daylight through regular glass, UV light or total darkness. After 90 days – the length of time dust can hang around, even after vacuuming – they found that those rooms exposed to daylight and UV light had about half the viable bacteria (those that are able to grow) compared to the dark rooms.
