An extension to connect Borman Road with Kay Road and relieve traffic pressure was approved by the Hamilton City Council last Tuesday.

The extension will take pressure off drivers using Kay Road to access Borman Rd.

Drivers will soon be able to access Borman Road from the River Rd and Kay Rd intersection and head straight on to Resolution Drive which will connect with the Horsham Downs Link that will lead onto the Waikato Expressway.

Council approved a contract worth $1,550,000 to Pemberton Civil who will take charge of the construction.

The extension of Borman Road to Kay Road is a critical network connection, required to provide appropriate network connectivity and facilitate construction of Resolution Drive, as planned and funded in current 2017/18 budgets. The Borman Road extension is part of a wider plan for the growth of Rototuna, which includes a new community town hall.
