Support people living with MND
All around the country, including Hamilton, Kiwis are raising money, support and awareness for the Walk 2 D’feet Motor Neurone Disease on Sunday, November 11.
Join and support the annual walk at Innes Common, Hamilton Lake, and raise funds to continue vital support and research for the disease.
Money raised helps continue to offer free support to families affected by MND and fund vital research to help find a cure.
Local MND volunteer helper Lesley Saville says: “Everyone is welcome to take part, wet or fine we go ahead. The theme for the walk is Blue and to have fun.
“There will be a prize for the best dressed. After the walk we will have a silent auction; supporters can bid on some great items including; two nights accommodation at a beautiful bach in Waihi, a Learn to Ride equestrian holiday programme through Phillips Equine, and a netball signed by a Sliver Fern. More items will be listed on their Hamilton Facebook page.”
Half of the funds raised provide support for people with MND and their carers. The other half goes to supporting MND research in New Zealand.
