Workshops on future of transport corridor

Hamilton News - - NEWS -

The future of transport along the Hukanui and Peachgrove roads transport corridor is to be discussed at a series of workshops.

Hamilton City Council’s 10-year plan has budgeted $20 million over four years to help make these roads safer and easier to use for all people.

It’s part of a broader strategy to encourage alternative transport modes across the city.

The council is hosting three workshops to get a better understanding of how local people use Hukanui and Peachgrove roads and what changes might make them better for all users.

Places at the workshops are limited so pre-registrations are essential.

The workshop dates and times are:

■ Tuesday November 27, 9.30am to 11am

■ Wednesday November 28, 7pm to 8.30pm

■ Saturday December 1, 10.30am to noon.

■ For more information on the workshops and registration email kather[email protected] or phone Katherine on 07 838 6991.
