Frisbee athletes weather storm

Hamilton News - - COMMUNITY -

Ultimate Frisbee teams from around New Zealand battled through the stormy conditions at Gower Park in Hamilton to face off in the New Zealand Mixed Ultimate Frisbee Championship.

After two days of downpour, the weather finally subsided on Sunday to allow for a free flowing final between Wellington’s Marvellous DC and Christchurch’s Crello.

The final was a close battle, but ultimately the experience of Marvellous DC, who recently competed at the World Ultimate Club Championship in Ohio shone through.

They took the final and the 2018 title with 15-12.
