New leader at Duart Home
Duart Rest Home and Hospital has a new leader with fresh ideas and a customer experience focus. Susan McDade is a familiar face, having written a weekly column in the Hastings Leader over the past four years. After heading the Hastings City Business Association for the past five years, Susan says she was ready for a new challenge and Duart was the perfect fit.
“My role here at Duart Hospital combines my love of people with my experience in healthcare.”
A former paramedic, Susan has wanted to return to the healthcare industry while still focusing on improving customer experiences.
“I knew right away that Duart was the right fit. The residents were so at home and the excellent staff care was what I would want for my own parents.”
Part of the Oceania group, Duart has an extensive support system, people-focused culture which really appealed to Susan.
“I am looking forward to growing my team of 60 and building Duart to be the preferred rest home facility in Hawke’s Bay.”
