G'day everyone. My name is Boris. I'm a lovely lad with a sad story to share with you. I arrived at the Hastings SPCA some months ago as a youngster. I was only six weeks old. I stayed for a few weeks before the best day ever arrived for me and I was chosen by a some people to go and become part of their family. I was so excited to have someone who was going to commit to me for my whole life, but unfortunately that didn't last. I was left alone and unloved by them. After five months they decided they no longer wanted me. I was a great boy and all I wanted was to show them what a big heart I have, but they brought me back to the shelter and left me here. Now its not too bad here as everyone loves me. I'm a bit of a goofball and I love games of rope tug. I usually win too. Even though I'm not a small dog, I still think I can fit on laps especially for a cuddle! If you think you can offer me a second chance at a loving and committed life with you I hope to meet you.

Hastings SPCA is open Monday to Saturday, 10.30-2.30pm, closed on Sundays, cnr Maraekakaho & Heathcote Roads, Hastings, phone (06) 878 8733. www.spcahastings.org.nz.
