Speaking on adventure

-

Kiwi adventurer Kevin Biggar will speak at the Hauraki-Coromandel Business Awards Gala later this month.

Biggar has won the gruelling Trans-Atlantic rowing race, completed the first unsupported trek by Kiwis to the South Pole, and hosted NZ intrepid journey reality TV show First Crossings.

He knows the ins and outs of hard work as part of his professional experience.

The adventurer is also a motivational speaker at industry conferences and corporate events throughout New Zealand and Australia.

“I talk about how to take on large challenges, improve teamwork, mental toughness and about how to get the most out of yourself and your team,

“There’s no jargon, no sugary self-help double-speak — just real frameworks and practical techniques that leave you energised and more effective in your work and life,” he says.

Awards spokesperson Mark Milmine says the team is excited to have secured Kevin to share his experiences and insights with the local business community.

“To do the things Kevin’s done takes dedication, stamina, leadership and a whole lot of sheer grit, which are all traits applicable to the challenges faced in business,” he says.

Entries in all categories of the 2018 Hauraki-Coromandel Business Awards are now closed. Finalists will be announced next week and the winners will be announced at the Awards Gala Evening on Thursday, September 27 at Grand Mercure Puka Park Resort Pauanui. ■ Tickets for the Gala Event are now on sale and are available on the Hauraki-Coromandel Business Awards website www.haurakicoromandelbusiness awards.co.nz/awards-gala
