Rotary Paeroa Vintage and Classic Car Show and Swap Meet:
Bonneville Band playing live music, fabulous cars, stalls selling car-related stuff, competitions and prizes. October 31 at the Railway Reserve on the main street of Paeroa.
Light Party: Fun for the whole family. Come along in fun dress-up. Laser strike, bouncy castle, games, face painting, boxing, cafe and more. Waihi Baptist Church on October 31 from 4-7.

Halloween — Thames Haunted House 2020: Wanting to provide a fun and safe way for kids to enjoy Halloween without trick or treating? Thames War Memorial Civic Centre, 200 Mary St, October 30-31.
Wild West Halloween Alternative: Family fun event. October 31, 4-7pm, Paeroa Memorial Hall for prizes, games, food and fun. $2.
Halloween at the Mercury Bay Library:
Get your creepy costumes ready. This year, we'll have plenty of crafts and activities to keep you entertained at Mercury Bay Library. Drop in after school - if you dare. October 30 from 4-5pm.
Volunteer Day at Shortland Cemetery - Thames:
Volunteers to wear closed-in shoes and bring sunhats, gardening gloves and small hand tools such as brooms, hand brushes. October 31 from 10am-2pm. Car Boot Sale: Waihi East School Fundraiser 2020, November 7, 8am12pm. Waihi Baptist Church Car park. All welcome to bring and sell your wares $10 per car. Sausage sizzle, presold haircuts, bouncy castle, baking stall, raffles and more. To book your spot email lbellamy@east.school.nz Paeroa Lions Fireworks Display: October 31, 5pm, Paeroa Domain. Paeroa Lions are back again this year with another massive fireworks display. With great entertainment and food stands, this is always an awesome night out for the whole family.

Waihi Beach — Meet Your Community:
Waihi Beach Community Centre. Meet locals, find groups and clubs at this community expo. Fun for the kids too — volunteer fire brigade displays, face painting, crafts and more. Beach Rd, November 15 from 12-2.30pm.
The Miner’s Picnic: Sunday November 8 at Gilmour Lake Waihi, from 12.30pm. Bring a picnic, dress in 1800s costume and enjoy music by Groov DJS, a free sausage sizzle and lakeside relaxing in the heart of Waihi. XTERRA Trail Challenge Waihi: The challenge is all about getting people to some of the best off-road locations around. November 21 at Dicky Flat Campground.
Waihi Lions Garden Ramble: This year the Garden Ramble will have you visiting town and country gardens on the south side of Waihi and East to West to Waikino. There will be light refreshments for sale and a plant stall at one of the gardens. Tickets are $20each available from Waihi Mitre 10, Beach Road Garden Centre, Waihi Beach Home and Hardware and Country Dog Paeroa. Tickets will be for sale shortly. All proceeds to Westpac Helicopter and Hetherington House. November 14-15. Repco Beachhop: Famous Rock N Roll festival held yearly in Waihi and Whangamata. Repco Beach Hop is one of New Zealand best celebrations of the 50s & 60s. November 25-29 throughout Whangamata.
