BRIDGE Waikato-bays 2020 Intermediate Bridge Championship League:

A thrilling finish in the final session of the league championship. Cambridge hosted the final event on Sunday with 27 pairs competing. Leading on the ladder for the last four sessions, Carol Crowfoot and Sabrina Peters from Thames Bridge Club, went in with a comfortable lead, but a poor morning session left the tournament wide open. Fighting back in the afternoon session Sabrina and Carol held on to their lead, while Ted Cliffin, also from Thames caught up and joined them in a three-way tie for first place with an accumulated 21 points. A fantastic achievement for the Thames Bridge club. The trophy was presented to Carol, Sabrina and Ted by Michael Neels representing the Regional Committee. Congratulations to the ten top prize-winners.
