Echo Walking Festival 2022: From an hour's walk to full day tramps, there's something for everyone and every fitness level. Walks throughout Waihi. April 9-24. Tairua Trail & Tides Half Marathon: April 23. This annual event is about showcasing everything beautiful about Tairua. The Half Marathon/10km and 5km courses cover the picturesqu­e landscapes.

Wild Womens Weekend: In Whangamata. May 13-15. Get away with friends, shop, play some sport, have fun, stare at the sea. Come by yourself or with a group.
