Wellington brothers Roy and Tim Grigor and their partners Sachini Wijesekera and Gabby Grigor were in Havelock North this week for a $13,000 “Ultimate Week” package.

They had their dad, Ian Grigor, to thank for the experience after he entered them in the competition on Facebook.

“Both dad and mum are great with social media. He told us we’d been entered in this this amazing Ultimate Week prize in Havelock North. When he received a Facebook message saying ‘congratulations’ he was first a little hesitant to open it, just in case it was spam, but quickly realised it was real and got straight on to the phone tell us.

“Our parents are as excited as we are for winning and being here in Havelock North — it’s a oncein-a-lifetime experience.

“We’ll definitely be bringing them back some fine examples of Havelock North food and wine while out shopping across the Village,” they said.

The young couples stayed at Porters Hotel for their first two nights, sampling some of the best fare in local eateries.

They also enjoyed a visit to the Harcourts Hawke’s Bay Art Festival.

Havelock North Business Association president Jane Mackersey said she was “proud” to showcase what Havelock North had on offer.

The Ultimate Week had been made possible through generous sponsorship and support from Business Association members for the $13,000 package.
