Nuts add flavour

This Honey Co­conut Ma­cadamia Gra­nola is su­per easy to make and full of good­ness, and the per­fect com­bi­na­tion of sweet­ness and crunch.


■ 2 cups Fresh Life ma­cadamia nuts, roughly chopped

■ 1 cup Fresh Life pump­kin seeds

■ 1 cup Fresh Life sliv­ered al­monds

■ 1 cup Fresh Life co­conut chips

■ 3 Tbsp honey

■ 1⁄2 cup Fresh Life black chia seeds

■ 2⁄3 cup Fresh Life dried blue­ber­ries

■ 1⁄2 cup Fresh Life whole cran­ber­ries

■ 2 cups oats

Pre­heat oven to 180C bake. In a large non-stick fry­ing pan, dry roast (us­ing no oil or but­ter) the pump­kin seeds, al­monds and ma­cadamia nuts over a low heat un­til pump­kin seeds be­gin to pop.

Add oats and co­conut, stir­ring con­stantly un­til oats have slightly browned.

Put all in­gre­di­ents from fry­ing pan into an oven tray lined with bak­ing paper. Driz­zle over honey and mix well to com­bine.

Place in oven for 10-15 min­utes, or un­til mix­ture is a light golden brown. Check and stir well ev­ery 5 min­utes to en­sure the mix­ture doesn’t burn.

Re­move from oven and stir through chia seeds and dried fruit.

Serve with fruit, milk and/or a ta­ble­spoon of yo­ghurt if de­sired — or just snack on it by the hand­ful!
