Animal deaths mystery

AMid Canterbury farm shed where six pigs and a cat died after eating an unidentified white powder remained cordoned off yesterday as authorities work out a clean-up plan. The powder, believed to have been there for years, was removed yesterday after people renting the property called emergency services. Sue Hardy said she called 111 on Saturday after the family cat was found dead. Her partner Mark Hobbs found six pigs dead the previous morning.
