Lee disqualified

GOLF: New Zealand No 1 golfer Danny Lee has been disqualified for the second time this season on the PGA Tour for signing an incorrect scorecard. The 21-yearold Korean-born Kiwi, who opened with a seven-over-par 78 to be in a share of 108th place at theAT& T National in Maryland, bounced back in the second round with a one-under 71. He would have missed the cut by one shot anyway but did not check his scorecard correctly and was disqualified.

Tiger Woods closed to within a stroke of the lead in the third round of the tournament yesterday. Woods shared second placed with Bo Van Pelt and Seung-Yul Noh. They were a stroke behind Brendon de Jonge.
