Horticulture NZ posts
Horticulture New Zealand’s board welcomes new director Bernadine Guilleux and re-elected director Mike Smith after four well-qualified candidates contested two vacant roles on the board. Bernadine Guilleux, marketing manager at Balle Bros in Auckland, was a first-time candidate. Mike Smith grows kiwifruit at Welcome Bay, near Tauranga. He has been a Horticulture New Zealand director since 2015. Directors are elected for a three-year term and Smith and Guilleux’s new term starts after Horticulture New Zealand’s annual meeting next month. Unsuccessful director candidates were Lesley Wilson, of Hawke’s Bay and Kathryn de Bruin, of Northland.
