The story on our Facebook page headed “Funds sought for elderly robbery victim”:

● Carolyn Pugh: Can the banks that the thieves withdrew the money from help this poor man out?

● Jenny Blok: Thanks HB Today for organising this. Will pop in tomorrow. So sad that our elderly are preyed upon by these lowlifes. Hopefully he is recovering and has support. ● Carol Evans: This is terrible, I must say after having a back operation I would sit in the car in the Napier Countdown car park while my husband went into the store leaving me sitting in the car, I have seen people working the car park by approaching people asking for spare coins leaving you feeling unsafe and vulnerable in my car. Something needs to be done to ensure this isn’t happening. Thoughts are with the elderly

victim and his family.

● Chris Matthews: How about take the thief’s property and sell it and give it to the poor fella.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:The person who has made the biggest impact in my life is. . .

● Pauline Kennedy: Was my Dad RIP

● Jamie McFarland: Colonel Sanders

● Donna-Marie Schulz-Howie: My fiance Nathan John Schulz-Howie

● Cara Pritchard: My god mother. Aino Krumins. I don’t think she realises how much of an effect she had on me.

● Michael McCamish: My Mum. She gave birth to me and it has been downhill since then

● Tim Stewart: My grandies
