Hot rods rule at brewery’s chrome day

-

There was a great turnout with 300 visitors in more than 85 cars, bikes and trucks from around the lower North Island at the Mangatainoka Motors hot rod day at Tui Brewery last weekend.

“Many of the visitors hadn’t been to a Mangatainoka Motors event before and we had great feedback,” Rosie Rogers Tui Experience Entrepreneur said. “We had a good turn-out from the Tararua Rodders and Wairarapa Ramrodders, our two local Hot Rod Clubs. It was great to see these guys again. Wairarapa Ramrodders Wywern Price (Masterton) won Local Star with his T Bucket 1932.”

President Peter of the Wairarapa Ramrodders said he loved going to the Mangatainoka Motors event because it is such a central location.

“It’s a real destination for us to get involved with people and see all these great vehicles. Another great day at Tui today and we are looking forward to many more,” he said. The next Mangatainoka Motors event is the V8 Sunday on November 25.
