Patel earns call-up

CRICKET: Central Districts Stags spinner Ajaz Patel looks set to debut in another format for the New Zealand cricket team, after being called into the one-day squad to play Pakistan in the UAE. He has been added as cover for Todd Astle who has an irritated right knee. Auckland fast bowler Lockie Ferguson and CD opener and parttime bowler George Worker have also been added to the mix. Corey Anderson was not considered for selection, he has returned home with a heel injury.
