WHAT TO SEE AT THE CHB A&P SHOW

Show Dates: Thursday 8, Friday 9 and Saturday 10 November Venue: CHB A&P Showground­s, Mitchell St Waipukurau.

Thursday (no entry charge): Dressage events — Start at 8.30am

Tux Yarding Challenge Dog Trials — Start at 8am

Friday (no entry charge): Tux Yarding Challenge Dog Trials — Start at 8am Equestrian events start at 8am. Includes show hunter horses, show jumping classes, saddle hunter horses and ponies. Pony classes: Pleasure ponies and horses, round the ring. Saturday — Show Day:

Tux Yarding Challenge Dog Trials start at 8am.

Final run offs about noon. Equestrian events start at 8am. Includes show hunter ponies, show jumping classes, pony classes, working hunter horses, park hacks , riding horses, pintos and round the ring. Top riders will be competing. Champion of Champions — 12pm main arena.

Shearing & Wool Handling s starts at 8am. Final around 4pm.

Sheep classes including pet lamb and calf competitio­n starts at 9am. Fencing competitio­n including top local fencers starts at 8.30am. Wool and fleece display

Trade exhibits and range of food. Something for everyone. Vintage machinery display and a vintage cars display

Giant Bubbles In The Bay — all day Bumper balls to play in — all day Highland dancing display — top local dancers

Face painting

Animal World — From 10am Terrier Racing — 12.30pm Mahon’s sideshows — all day Clydesdale horses — all day Photograph­y Competitio­n — Photo display in Exhibition Hall

Baking and home craft competitio­n — Display of entries in Exhibition Hall Rose Flower Show — Display of entries in Exhibition Hall

Dog Show — Starts at 1.30pm in main arena

Working artist Painting On Display — all day

Craig Smith, author of The Wonky Donkey will perform two shows at 11am and 2pm approximat­ely. Autographs and photograph­s available. Merchandis­e can be purchased throughout the day. Show entry prices: Gates open to the public from 8am.

Adults $15

Children 15 Years and under $5, under 5s Free

Family Pass (two adults and three children) $35

Bull riding — Saturday from 5.30pm to approximat­ely 9.30pm

Enter before the show: Photograph­y competitio­n: Entries close 5pm Friday November 2 Children can also enter the photograph­y competitio­n.

Entries taken on the day:

Rose Competitio­n: Must be presented by 9am November 10.

Baking & Home Craft: Must be presented by 8.30am November 10. Terrier Racing: Register before racing on the day 12.30pm.

Pet lamb and calf competitio­n: Pets to be presented before 9am on the day. Dog Show: Register on the day 1.30pm. Children can also enter these sections. Please note that all times listed are approximat­e and are subject to change.
