Gavet may be on way

LEAGUE: Hard-running Warriors forward James Gavet has indicated on social media he is leaving the New Zealand NRL side. Gavet has posted a video of himself outside Mount Smart Stadium on Instagram, saying “signing out” with the message “thanks for the ride fam . . . outta here”. He is on contract with the Warriors for the 2019 season but is understood to be joining Newcastle on a two-year deal. His release comes after Gavet was dropped for the Warriors’ final regular-season game, it is understood he was late for training and other club functions.
