Fiery crash in Paki Paki

A person was arrested after fleeing from a fiery crash near Hastings. Police were called about 1am on Friday, when a car went through a give way sign, crashed and caught fire. The incident occurred in Paki Paki, where Maraekakaho Rd meets the Hawke’s Bay Expressway. The occupants of the car fled on foot, a police spokeswoman said.
