● Closing Pandora is a disgrace?

Would folk rather it stayed open? EW ● Napier council needs to sort decent parking for visitors & mostly workers who are struggling to find reasonable cost or any parking in the CBD

● Fantastic achievement Leon

Birnie. Huge effort and great result.

● Tues texter . . . blame Uncle Shane and his tree planting fixation for landowners tree planting subsidy. So out of control there is dismay at arable land going into trees.

● Totally agree with T Allen re port info. I think this is just another ill researched council project

● So the Government is looking at prices of petrol. Maybe they should be also looking at prices of electric seeing it’s produced here and not imported. Or is this Rip Off NZ?

● Great letter from Shaun Bates re Napier’s distressing water situation. About time our councillors prioritised water instead of a $60 million aquarium expansion.

● Why do lone cyclists insist on riding outside the cycle lane especially in Middle Rd. JM ● Congratulations Flaxmere Primary. Your production was amazing and original. The whole school participated and all the leads were great and the story line, Save Tane Mahuta, so appropriate. Costumes were stunning. An emotional experience. Thank you.

● Disappointed teachers are continuing with their strike action. Where do they think all these teachers are coming from? Perhaps if it wasn’t so expensive for teachers to re-register it would help solve the problem. This Government has offered double compared to the previous and yet teachers want every thing fixed overnight.

● Maybe the teachers could strike during their long holidays, that way it will not disrupt my child’s education

● I support Maraenui & Brian Gares’ letter supporting retention of Onekawa pool site plus addition of a 50 metre pool. As do the other 6999 people who signed the petition. Why doesn’t this council listen to its constituents?

● Napier should be concentrating on more parking & supporting the main area Art Deco streets and shops, not a good look empty shops & no parking

● National is back. Greg O’Conner is not going to be spoken to like a schoolboy, he will switch to National at the next election. We may all be saved Thank you for texting your views. Please note that owing to the anonymous nature of texts we will not publish unfair personal attacks. — Ed
