Hawke's Bay Today - - Front Page - By Linda Hall

PEAK APPEARANCE has been servicing Hawke’s Bay for more than a decade, and has built up a solid reputation for being the region’s most trusted clinic, providing intelligent skin rejuvenation treatments and excellence in appearance medicine care.

Entrusted and aesthetically aware; the team at Peak Appearance ensure they are at the top of their game by upskilling at every opportunity.

Debbie Sweet, Lara Molloy and Sophie Hunter don’t follow trends, they follow excellent medical practices to ensure everyone who walks through the door gets the very best experience and outcome.

The team has a close bond and share a passion for their work; when it comes to skin and appearance medicine it’s easy to see why they have the following they do in Hawke’s Bay.

“We love the fact that we get the privilege of making people not only look better, but feel better about themselves,” Lara said.

Sophie is the newest member of the team having started working at Peak Appearance six months ago, bringing with her six years of experience in the industry.

She says starting her new job was the highlight of her year and the goal for 2019 is to continue enjoying her job and her clients. “I love coming to work,” she said.

For Debbie, a mother of three, the highlight of her year was the birth of her youngest son and managing a good work/home balance. “Peak Appearance is my escape — it’s the place I come to enjoy time with my clients.”

Her goal for next year is education both for herself and her clients.

For Lara the highlight of her year has been receiving CO2 laser treatment “and my natural crusade”. Her goal for next year is to inspire people to be healthy.

They all agree that appearance medicine is far more acceptable and affordable than it was just five years ago.

“For us the goal is to accentuate our client’s natural features. Sausage lips are a thing off the past. We all love great lips but find that a lot of people get put off when they see on social media those with unnaturally fat lips.

“People know a bit more about fillers these days and they know what they want — the really refined, better looking skin and natural healthy looking appearance.”

The women all agree that the best thing you can do for your skin is use sun protection. “Not just on your face. You wrinkle everywhere so use it on any skin exposed to the sun.”

Peak Appearance offers skin treatments and appearance medicine tailored to the individual’s needs.

“Come in for a free consultation. Money spent on your skin is an investment in the future you. It’s never too late to start and it’s one of the very best things you can do for yourself.”

The clinic offers a comprehensible range of treatments including Botox, dermal fillers, facial treatments and peels and light therapies.

They are also experts in Fractional CO2 — a fractional or “pixilated” carbon dioxide (CO2) laser that is the latest advancement in non-surgical skin rejuvenation treatments and Platelet Rich Plasma — a popular range of treatments that use your own growth factors to boost healing. And if you are worried about the hot days ahead and excessive underarm sweating — don’t. The team at Peak Appearance say it’s easily treatable with a few simple injections of Botox in each armpit with the results lasting up to a year.

The team is looking forward to having a break at Christmas. Debbie says she will be enjoying time with family while Sophie is heading to the beach with her family and Lara will be on the road in her caravan.

Asked to tell us something surprising about themselves, Sophie replied that she had started training for a multi sport event, Debbie revealed she is a chronic over-sharer and loves to tell stories while Lara said she loves to pop things — “pimples, cysts, if it needs popping I’ll do it”.

It’s obvious that the team gel well together and view their profession with great pride. A clinic with a strong medical ethos coupled with highly skilled and passionate team means you can have comfort knowing you are putting your skin in the hands of the experts.

Peak Appearance is open for business right through until December 24. They will reopen on January 14.
