● Why have diesel prices not come

down when petrol has?

● Like it or not, social media is becoming an arm of the state. Say the “wrong” thing and you more than likely, will be kicked off your favourite social media platform

● Just read a documentary, it was not compulsory for Maori to fight in World War I because it was thought they would become extinct.

● How do you explain to a child Father Christmas is a woman or Father Christmas is Maori, wearing a korowai & carrying a taiaha? When do we get over indulging ourselves & just leave some things alone? The concept of Father Xmas, his reindeer and elves don’t damage a child, in fact might just stimulate their imaginations away from the handheld devices they are addicted to.

● All New Zealanders should be very proud of this Govt for the energetic and positive manner in which huge advances have been made to address so many problems they inherited. Sadly there are people who can only criticise like some well known in the media but then we know they support National whatever they do!!

● I have a subscription for a particular publication which I receive weekly, usually on a Friday. I haven’t seen one for the last three weeks. I’ve phoned the publisher, they say they’ve been sent. I have no reason not to believe them. I’ve been getting this publication for 20 years. So I rang and lodged complaint with NZ Post. That was a week ago. Still haven’t received this week’s. So now I have no choice but to cancel the subscription and buy it from the supermarket, which is an extra cost. What’s up with the mail system these days.

● Some drivers on Porangahua Rd, Waipukurau past the Terrace School don’t respect the 50km/h speed limit. It’s time a speed camera was mounted here. Its installation cost would soon be covered by speeding fines.

● Lovely day in Napier on Sundaypity the two pipers were not permitted to play longer for more people to enjoy! PC mad again! DB

● Another Sunday lunch time with brown water this happens often come on NCC do something instead of worrying about swimming pools

● I feel Napier needs a leisure pool but not on the scale the council is pushing for on Prebensen drive. Why close Onekawa, keep it for clubs, fitness classes and lessons. Build a new leisure pool with slides, waves and separate toddler pool with toys.

● If the HBRC arranges to deal with its current level of debt before it commences on its infrastructure expansion plans, perhaps it will be eligible for funding from the billion dollar Regional Development Fund?
