There was no sitting of the Napier court this morning which is an unusual thing for a Monday morning.There was not even one drunk arrested during the weekend. The attention of land seekers generally is called to the sale of the Raukawa property of 1046 acres.The inquiries have been so numerous that the HB Farmers have decided to hold the sale in Everybody’s Theatre, Hastings, not in the old library.

The potato crop in Napier this season has been exceptionally good, but a plant taken from the garden of Mr R Thorp on the Napier Hills, will take a lot of beating. It measured 7 feet in length.
