There was no sit­ting of the Napier court this morn­ing which is an un­usual thing for a Mon­day morn­ing.There was not even one drunk ar­rested dur­ing the week­end. The at­ten­tion of land seek­ers gen­er­ally is called to the sale of the Raukawa prop­erty of 1046 acres.The in­quiries have been so nu­mer­ous that the HB Farm­ers have de­cided to hold the sale in Every­body’s The­atre, Hast­ings, not in the old li­brary.

The potato crop in Napier this sea­son has been ex­cep­tion­ally good, but a plant taken from the gar­den of Mr R Thorp on the Napier Hills, will take a lot of beat­ing. It mea­sured 7 feet in length.
