Trio in hurry to improve
CYCLING: The Kiwi men’s sprint team of Ethan Mitchell, Eddie Dawkins and Sam Webster are trying not to get left behind this year. New Zealand are ranked eighth in the world, despite winning Commonwealth Games gold. The top spots are held by the Netherlands, France and Britain. Mitchell said they were pushing each other on the technical aspects required to reach peak performance after a sudden change in coach from Anthony Peden to Rene Wolff last year. The team will be in action at the World Cup event in Cambridge next weekend.
