President Annette welcomed 33 women to the first meeting for 2019.

Three of them became new members which was great. A big welcome was extended to them.

There was just one member celebrating her birthday in January so she had the happy birthday song all to herself.

The body of the meeting was dealt with reasonably quickly and then we were treated to an insight of Varna Days’ life.

We then had a break and enjoyed a cool glass of fruit punch and a chinwag until we were called back in for our 45th annual meeting.

After a welcome and the apologies, the minutes from the 44th annual meeting were read and confirmed. Then the secretary, treasurer and president all presented their reports.

They were each thanked for their time and the work put into them.

The Holter Cup and placings were then announced: —

1st Marilyn Thorp 2nd Ann Webster

3rd Annette Elkins

Nine standing committee members agreed to be nominated for 2019 and there was one additional nomination for Bev Cramond to join the committee.

President Annette Elkins, vice president Joan Coppell, secretary Ann Webster and treasurer Pam Taylor had all completed four years on the committee so were leaving the committee.

They were all thanked with a card and gift of appreciation. The filling of all positions is to be decided at the first committee meeting in February.

After a small amount of business, the meeting was closed and members enjoyed supper and fellowship.
