Charged after death

A man appeared in the Hastings District Court on Saturday in relation to the death of a 30-yearold man in Hastings on Friday. The man, 42, has been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and has interim name suppression. He will reappear in court next month. Police were called to a Lumsden Rd address about 2.35am on Friday after receiving a report of a critically injured man. The man died at the scene.
