Petition on planes

Former Hawke’s Bay regional councillor Liz Remmerswaal is presenting a petition to Parliament today, asking MPs to reconsider money being put towards military aircraft. Last year, the Government approved $2.3 million for four Poseidon military planes. The petition will be presented to Green MP Golriz Ghahraman. Remmerswaal is the national coordinator of World Beyond War, a global peace network.
