At the Napier Police Court this morning, John Codigan and George Broughton were convicted on a charge of vagrancy, having been found sleeping in the Napier Gas Company’s yard. The former was sentenced to one month’s imprisonment and the latter, who had a bad record, to six months imprisonment with hard labour. Mr A L Beattie was the presiding Justice.

Special attention is called to the sale of the Raukawa Romney ewes tomorrow morning at 11 o’clock at Stortford lodge. The ewes have a reputation of their own and instructions to the HB Farmers Ltd are to sell without reserve.
