The Romans had terraced seating so why can’t The Mission?

Angela Russell:

Surely they could spend some money on making it a little more accessible for people, esp on wet days wen people slip & break their ankles . . . it is a great venue, and we have paid alot of money to The Mission . . . i feel its time they gave back a little.

I think a lot of people are missing the point here. The Mission is “iconic” because of its untouched environment. That’s why we go .,..so we can sit on our taurpaulins with many friends and family. Enjoy the weather (mostly sunny) eat our own cheese and crackers. And people stop on their way by and say hello that we haven’t seen for years!

When the main act starts, the sound quality is second to none. The stage is fantastic, with big screens for everyone to see. It’s awesome!

Here are some tips for the people

Lisa Berryman:

who have so many complaints:

1.. Don’t drink alcohol if you become unsteady on your feet,

2. Don’t drink alcohol if it causes you to go to the toilet frequently.

3. If you are worried about your Health & Safety buy a seated ticket in the VIP area,

4. If you can’t afford a VIP seat, then line up before the gates open and claim your spot on the flat part of the GA area.

5. If you are not prepared to do any of the above, don’t buy a ticket

. . . let someone else buy it who wants to actually be there.

There’s plenty of other paddocks in Hawke’s Bay you can bring in generators and food trucks, put port-a-loos on, and run buses to. Mission doesn’t offer anything special, maybe another landowner would like to offer..

Last I knew it was an Aussie Event.firm running this.. they are not going to spend any

Gail Cartledge:

money on making this a better venue. Broken ankles, stinking portaloos, unlit slippy tracks back to where you may have been sitting.. no thanks. Once was enough. It’s all about the $$ so they won’t be making costly improvements when people will pay huge money for inferior set up because there’s nothing else.

Leave it the way it is! Awesome venue and the character and sound it produces is second to none.

Maybe ACC should fund it, might save them the added costs of dealing with all the fractures from the events.

It’s 100% better than the bog last year. At least there is a walkway now.

Claire Jones:

Zaelim Nicholson:

It is what it is and it’s iconic ! If you don’t like it don’t go !!!! Terraces are way more dangerous.

Rachel Sedger:

Here, here! Let’s see some investment in making this
