■ On the one hand we have calls for more water storage for food production then on the other we have those opposing dairy that uses water and fertilizers. Zoning of land by the regional council might help this.

■ Labour and our prime minister Jacinda Adern have done a great job on cracking down on the gangs a lot more than John keys for 9 years. Judith Collins and nationals weak campaign needs to open their blinkers and read the news.

■ Why should election be delayed. National have had 3 years to put policies out to New Zealanders Or is it just so they can do dirty politics ???

■ Let’s keep moving. In to Lockdown.

■ I just saw Judith Collins and Jerry Brownlee on the 6 o’clock news. What an incredibly horrible attitude those two share. Such thinking has been given a fair run by Trump — and look at the results!

■ Can someone please tell me what has happened to Anderson park Napier? Can’t walk cause of all the poop, dogs can’t swim. Wasn’t like this years back.

■ Wish with lotto they would increase the lower amounts. So hard to even get 3 numbers and you only get free ticket. Should be more.

■ Brian Tamaki, the leader of Destiny Church is calling people to march in the streets to protest against covid control levels. This is dangerous, just look at America!

■ Re Rubbish dumpers, we’re even starting to get rubbish dumped in our street in town and in empty sections may not be a lot but its happening.

■ All this discussion, studies, reports on Oranga Tamariki. Just disband it & parents, whanau, look after our babies.

■ Well The PM has really excelled herself this time — when are we going to hear the truth, this is all totally political — how many clusters are in NZ and the PM going to roll them out now close to the election! No wonder there are have been no policies, no wonder we have been advised to wear masks for the last fortnight — this government is crooked!! Through and through! PJ

■ Napier to Gisborne Highway, is also dreadful, potholes caused a double blow out on a family members car, could have ended in a serious accident. Come on Jaccinda all your fake promises. Fix our roads.

■ Supermarkets in H. Nth on Wednesday morning. People queued to the road watching as the people roll out with trolleys loaded. Certainly back in the mode of ‘more toilet paper, flour, and bread’, than they could possibly need in a month! Surely the supermarkets can challenge the amounts being purchased. Money talks doesn’t it, and to oblivion any care for fellow man.

■ Labour and our prime minister Jacinda Adern have done a great job on cracking down on the gangs a lot more than John keys for 9 years. Judith Collins and nationals weak campaign needs to open their blinkers and read the news.

■ This coalition circus are funding, through the PGF, a Wairoa building to be made earthquake safe, also funding on site accommodation for . . . wait for it . . . a glassblower!!!! WOW! That’s really contributing to the economy.

■ Will somebody please tell our TV announcers KIA ORA is not pronounced “KEY YOWRAH”.

■ I’m sorry to say that Judith Collins is out of her depth. She cannot lead this country through what we are facing. She seems stuck in the past.

■ what does Eugenie Sage not understand about the petition supported by thousands of New Zealanders to leaving the thar alone! What does she like about thar being shot indiscriminately from a helicopter and then left to rot! The Green Party must go with their over zealous ideas. JF

■ Thank goodness Winston Peters didn’t get his way and open up that Australian bubble. Our safety is more important than he seems to think. Time for him to retire.

■ Txers criticizing John Key Helen Clark Rob Fyfe etc wanting border open for o'seas people. Not one of them has suggested it should be done now or without very secure border controls. Don't they understand what is being said! They want planning for NZ future economic survival.
