Two Covid deaths

New Zealand has two more deaths with Covid-19 and recorded 6407 new community cases yesterday. There are 368 people in hospital, 18 in ICU. The total death tally is now 862, with a seven-day rolling average of 15. Yesterday’s deaths were men in their 80s — one from Wairarapa and one from Whanganui . Meanwhile, two more overseas travellers have the BA.5 variant of Omicron, taking the total to three — all from South Africa.
