Freight exemption

A trucking association says it supports congestion charges but wants an exemption for freight. It’s expected a charge will be announced for Auckland next week, to be implemented in 2025. National Road Carriers says passenger vehicles cause most congestion, and Chief Operating Officer James Smith says charging freight carriers wouldn’t be good for customers.
