Student’s lies bring fine

A student engineer who lied on her CV and repeatedly misrepresented herself as a chartered professional engineer has been handed the maximum fine possible. Pajna Singh was also sentenced to six months’ community detention, 80 hours community service, and must pay $25,000 reparations. The Engineering New Zealand Disciplinary Committee fined her $5000, the highest fine it has issued.
