Student’s lies bring fine

A student engineer who lied on her CV and repeatedly misreprese­nted herself as a chartered profession­al engineer has been handed the maximum fine possible. Pajna Singh was also sentenced to six months’ community detention, 80 hours community service, and must pay $25,000 reparation­s. The Engineerin­g New Zealand Disciplina­ry Committee fined her $5000, the highest fine it has issued.
