Firearms charges

Three men have been arrested in relation to a firearms incident in Mt Roskill last October. Police say the seriously injured victim is still recovering. Yesterday morning, several search warrants in the West Auckland suburb uncovered three illegal firearms — a semiautomatic rifle, a shotgun and revolver. The arrested men — one aged 21 and two aged 27 — have been charged with wounding and the commission of a crime with a firearm and were to appear in the Auckland District Court yesterday. A 33-year-old man charged with unlawful possession of a firearm will appear at a later date.
